With a combination of brilliant views, fun trails, and a cafe stop for lunch, this one always makes for a good day out.
Starting in the picturesque village of Hawkshead, we will make our way over to the western edge of Grizedale Forest, where we're greeted by views over Coniston Water and Consiton Old Man beyond. Some of the best trails that the lakes have to offer then being us to our lunch spot. After lunch its into Claiffe woods for an afternoon of more fun forest trails.
This is some of my favourite riding, and not one to be missed!
Physicality
Hilly terrain with some steep climbs over smooth ground. Roughly 35 to 40km, with 900m of climbing.
Technicality
Moderately rough sections, and shorter sections with loose rocks, tree roots or wet soil/leaves. Ledges of up to one foot (lower then axle height) that can be rolled over (wheels not required to leave the ground).
