To ensure your ride is perfectly suited to your riding style and what you want to get out of your day I generally operate in the areas below where I have an intimate knowledge of the trails. Kentmere Valley
With its miles of flowing singletrack, the Kentmere Valley’s rolling hills give way to spectacular views of the Langdales to the west, the enormous Kentmere Horseshoe to the north, Yorkshire to the east, and the ocean to the south. This is classic Lakeland singletrack at it’s best.For those with a little riding experience looking to progress their experience on natural singletrack it’s hard to look past the Kentemere Valley.
Rides are accessed via the village of Staveley which, with its café’s, a brewery, a pub and the UK’s largest bike shop, offers the perfect pre or post ride pit stop. Staveley is a short 15 minute drive from the M6, and accessible by train, making this a great option for those looking for a day trip to the Lakes.

Woods West of Windermere
The extensive woodlands to the west of Lake Windermere offer something for everyone. From absolute beginners wanting to try off-road riding for the first time in a safe and confidence-inspiring environment, to seasoned riders wanting to feel their bike squirming underneath them through wet roots and loose rocks, these woods have it all.
For those wanting to start in Windermere (including if you want to arrive by train) then your ride will start and end with a bonus ferry ride across England’s largest lake! Alternatively these rides are easily accessed from Hawkshead, or a multitude of car parks on the western shore of Lake Windermere.

Ambleside Adventure
For those looking for a classic Lake District adventure, Ambleside, nestled in the heart of the Lake District, makes the perfect starting point. With close up views of some of the Lake District’s biggest mountains, and some of the finest riding the Lakes has to offer, these rides are sure to leave you with a lasting impression of just how good mountain biking in the Lake District can be!
If you’ve got the legs for it, we can combine this with the Woods West of Windermere to leave you equal parts exhausted and entertained!
