
Group Rides
If you would prefer to ride in a group, you can join one of the rides listed below. See the ride description for the fitness and skill level required for each ride.
Although some rides start from the same place they will use different routes on different days.
Group sizes are kept to a maximum of six people to ensure I can give the full group my attention.
Most rides are suitable for e-bikes (but not all), please check the descriptions below to confirm. Please note that not all the group will be on e-bikes, so we will travel at non e-bike pace.
April 20th
Hawkeshead - Full Day
Fun forest trails from Consiton Water to Lake Windermere, with a cafe stop for lunch.
Physicality: 3/5 - Hilly terrain with some steep climbs over smooth ground.
Technicality: 3/5 - Moderately rough sections, and shorter sections with loose rocks, tree roots or wet soil/leaves. Ledges of up to one foot (lower then axle height) that can be rolled over (wheels not required to leave the ground).
Suitable for e-bikes: Yes
May 18th
Ambleside - Full Day
Classic Lakeland riding with views of the Langdales, starting from Ambleside in the heart of the lake district.
Physicality: 3/5 - Hilly terrain with some steep climbs over smooth ground.
Technicality: 3/5 - Moderately rough sections, and shorter sections with loose rocks, tree roots or wet soil/leaves. Ledges of up to one foot (lower then axle height) that can be rolled over (wheels not required to leave the ground).
Suitable for e-bikes: Yes
May 19th
Staveley - Half Day
A locals favourite. Flow though the singletrack of the Kentmere valley.
Physicality: 3/5 - Hilly terrain with some steep climbs over smooth ground.
Technicality: 2/5 - Gravel tracks, loose stones and bedrock. Relatively smooth, although does involve some lumpy rocks. Single-track trails where two cyclists would not be able to ride side by side.
Suitable for e-bikes: Yes
June 1st
Borrowdale - Full Day
A Lake District classic. Technical riding and stunning views.
Physicality: 4/5 - Mountainous terrain with steep climbs over rough ground.
Technicality: 4/5 - Rough sections, and sections with a combination of loose rocks, tree roots and wet soil/leaves. Ledges of up to two foot that can be rolled off/over (wheels not required to leave the ground). Sections of moderate steepness requiring good brake control..
Suitable for e-bikes: Yes
June 2nd
Helvellyn - Full Day
Ride to the top of England’s highest bridleway, and the summit of Helvellyn.
Physicality: 4/5 - Mountainous terrain with steep climbs over rough ground.
Technicality: 5/5 - Combination of very rough and loose. Exposed sections requiring accurate bike control. Sustained steep and loose sections requiring accurate braking to control speed.

August 24th
Windermere - Half Day
Starting and ending with a ferry ride across England’s largest lake, for those looking to take their riding out of the trail centre and onto more natural terrain, this is the place to start.
Physicality: 2/5 - Hilly terrain with some steep climbs of shorter length over smooth terrain.

September 7th
Staveley 3 Passes - Full Day
Big climbs and hike-a-bike are rewarded with some of the best (and most technical) descending the Lake District has to offer.
Physicality: 5/5 - Mountainous terrain with steep climbs over rough ground, including significant sections where you will have to carry your bike.
